Control of pain and inflammatory reactions
The specific aim of this first step is to set-up the rehabilitation program and focuses principally on the reduction of pain. Physical therapies, based on known physical principles and biological mechanisms, offer a valid alternative to the administration of drugs. In this step, the use of equipment that is able to administer or subtract heat in a controlled manner provides physiotherapists with a valid and effective aid.
