Proprioceptive reeducation
Proprioceptive reeducation
The proprioceptive method consists on improving the ability to control the body's position, posture and movement and joint stability in order to recover specific gestural skills through exercises that help improve body awareness and joint mobility.
Proprioceptive recovery plays an important part in the rehabilitation process: in conservative and post-surgical treatments it enables patients to recover coordination and neuromotor control, to prevent falls and fall-related injuries, and during training it helps to improve balance and therfore performances.
